10x1.8cm ceramic, sterling silver and glass bead amulet on a 22cm cord. The handmade stoneware saba iyun amulet is an Iraqi regional variation of an evil eye charm. The fish is a symbol of prosperity and good luck, and has been engraved with a different name of god on each side for protection. The glass beads handing from the fish tail have been found and recycled. It is intended to be hung in the home for protective purposes.

This is a sacred artefact. In Jewish practice, names of god cannot be erased; if the amulet is damaged beyond repair it must be buried in a Genizah.

Piece is modular and can be removed from the leather cord.
